Each year the Dayton Dutch Lions FC organizes try-outs to pick players for the PDL team. In case you are interested in playing for the Dayton Dutch Lions FC please send an e-mail to Erik Tammer with your résumé and your motivation and you will receive a detailed information package.

League

Dayton Dutch Lions FC will play in the Premier Development League (PDL) of the United Soccer Leagues (USL, www.uslsoccer.com) in the USA. The League consists of 72 teams divided in 4 Conferences and 8 Divisions. Dayton Dutch Lions FC will play in the Great Lakes Division in the Central Conference. Other teams in this division are Cincinnati Kings, Indiana Invaders, Cleveland Internationals, Michigan Bucks, Kalamazoo Outrage, Chicago Fire, Forest City London (Canada) and Toronto Lynx (Canada). All teams play eachother twice (home and away) with a total of 16 League games. The numbers 1 and two of the Division qualify for the play-offs. The winners of the Conference Championship qualify for the Final Four weekend to play for the PDL National Championship.

Season

The season runs from May until July 20 2010, after which the play-offs begin. Pre-season starts the 2nd or 3rd week of April. All practices will be held at the AIA complex in Xenia.

Professional

Dayton Dutch Lions FC will be profesionally based which means all players will get paid and practices will be in the morning or afternoon.
